After 4 years, NCT 127 is finally back in Singapore with their 5th tour, ‘NEO CITY: SINGAPORE – THE REDLINE’. This highly anticipated return to our shores that took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on a Sunday evening in October, was also seemingly the start of a new era. The comeback was a meaningful reunion following Mark’s departure, as well as Taeyong and Jaehyun’s return after completing their military service.

The comeback concept, “Redline”, represents a line that cannot be crossed, but NCT 127 has never hesitated to cross it. At the same time, the concert’s key message of “NCT is still here, and we stay together” was evident throughout the night.

As a familiar neon green light illuminated the stadium, NCT 127 commanded the stage, driving NCT 127 fans, Czennies, to give their loudest cheers. The group kicked off the night with a powerful performance of “Legacy,” instantly enchanting the crowd with their sharp moves. This was followed by “Step Up” and “Walk”, setting the tone for an explosive homecoming.

What came after were fan favourites like “Cherry Bomb”, “2 Baddies”, and “Lemonade,” paired with breathtaking visuals, heavy bass, and explosive choreography that kept the crowd on their feet. While fans certainly missed Mark’s signature rap style, the members stepped up to deliver his parts with their own distinct flair, giving the tracks a fresh, natural energy without missing a beat. For example, during “2 Baddies,” Johnny took over a major portion of Mark’s rhythmic, English-heavy lines while Jaehyn took over several of Mark’s mid-tone raps with his deeper vocal tone.

The stadium’s energy peaked the moment NCT 127 performed their latest release, “Blingy”. Delivering the track with raw power, they reminded fans of its deeper message: while they are always searching for something “blingy,” everything dazzling was already inside them all along.

Brilliant Fan Service At THE REDLINE

During the intermissions, the contrast between their fierce stage presence and playful personalities shone through. The members ran down from the stage to interact with Czennies up close, taking fun selfies and sharing cute moments with the crowd. During the fan interaction, the group mentioned how much they love chilli crab and black pepper crab in Singapore. Taeyong innocently asked if Singapore had that many wild crabs to catch, only for fans to burst his bubble by shouting that they’re imported. His genuinely surprised “I didn’t know that!” reaction left the whole room laughing.

Beyond the grand spectacle, the evening was deeply emotional. The members reflected on how much the team has evolved over the years and expressed deep gratitude to fans for their support through every era. Yuta also added that while nothing is set in stone, they will do their absolute best to return next year.

True to the message of the concert, every song during the encore, including “Paper Plane,” “Touch,” and “Promise You, ” was a message to fans that no matter how far they go, NCT 127 and Czennies stay together. A standout moment came during “Paper Plane,” where absent members appeared in the VCR singing along, a touching reminder that NCT 127 members remain connected despite the distance.

Johnny’s speech still echoes in the hearts of fans – “it’s not just another simple day; it’s a special one”, and this was made possible by NCT 127 lighting up the stage. Singapore is already counting down to the 6th tour.

Big thank you to UnUsUal Entertainment for the invitation!
