Despite the heavy rain lashing in parts of Singapore, with flooding reported in some areas, nothing could stop the ReVeluvs from gathering at The Star Theatre on 4 July 2025 to witness a night of grace and power. As the lights dimmed, intro music played, and the women of the hour appeared on stage, the storm outside paled in comparison to the thunderous cheers within the Star Theatre.
Kicking off right on time with their latest May release, ‘TILT‘, the atmosphere was electric. Displaying a powerful start, ReVeluvs screamed every word of the fan chants, proving just how loved and deeply followed the Red Velvet sub-unit remains, even years after their debut.
It was apparent the duo’s chemistry on stage: Irene, ever the image of elegance and mystery, brought a cool charisma to the stage. Seulgi, exuding radiance and vibrancy throughout the night, matched her effortless energy and razor-sharp moves. We were treated to a plethora of moods and genres, showcasing their range, synergy, and individual strengths.

Highlights of the setlist included an explosive vocal number, ‘Trampoline‘, with their crystal-clear CD-like high notes echoing throughout the theatre. The girls also turned up the heat with tracks like ‘Monster’ and Red Velvet’s ‘Be Natural’, both dripping in confidence and sensuality. Every move was deliberate, commanding attention with their strong stage presence.

The solo stages were the opportune moment for each of the members of this sub-unit to display their strengths, and they saw to that. Seulgi dominated the dance floor with crisp, commanding moves – her performance of ‘Praying‘ was a masterpiece, watching pure art unfold on stage. A cute moment was when she performed an upbeat and playful piece, ‘Rollin’ (With my Homies)‘ after commenting that this song fits Singapore’s vibe.
Irene’s beauty was unmatched, and her vocals soared during ‘Like A Flower‘, especially during her high-note moments that stunned the crowd into awe. Irene’s performance of ‘Ka-Ching’ drew one of the loudest fan chants of the night – a clear favourite among ReVeluvs.

Between performances, we watched artistically shot VCR interludes, styled in striking black and white high-fashion visuals. These segments added a sophisticated edge to the night’s flow, perfectly reflecting Irene and Seulgi’s modern yet timeless aesthetic.
As the evening rolled toward its close, the girls brought fans back to Red Velvet roots with a few classic group songs. One special moment that got the audience hyped up was when they performed ‘Hit That Drum‘, a track chosen for the Singaporean tour. Their final number, ‘Zimzalabim‘, turned the night into a full-blown celebration – complete with confetti, energy, and the unmistakable joy of being part of something unforgettable.
Then, came a moment no one expected: Irene and Seulgi left the stage and appeared on the sides of the hall and walked through the crowd, waving, smiling, and interacting with fans face-to-face. It was a rare, intimate gesture that reminded everyone why Red Velvet remains one of the most beloved acts in K-pop.
But perhaps the moment that lingered most in our hearts was a quiet one. During their goodbye speech, Irene took a moment to apologise for a minor mishap – forgetting to bring out a chair during one part of the choreography for ‘Be Natural‘. She smiled shyly, admitted she was nervous, and bowed deeply. That sincerity, that very human moment, was a reminder that behind all the glamour, the girls remain grounded and gracious.
Despite the storm, despite the pressure of a one-night-only show, Irene and Seulgi made it a night of heart, elegance, and unforgettable connection. And, just like the rain outside… they left us drenched – but this time, in admiration and tears for their next stage in Singapore.
Big thank you to Fried Rice Entertainment for having us!
