The annual Thai Festival returned to Singapore from 10 to 12 July 2026, transforming the Royal Thai Embassy on Orchard Road into a mini Chatuchak Market that welcomed over 80,000 visitors across the weekend. Centred around the theme “Creative Life, Creative Heartbeat,” the fair brought the vibrant colours of Thailand painted by the culture, entertainment, and innovative products line-up.
The opening ceremony brought a visual impact with a series of Thai arts and cultural performances by the Chanakarn Thai Dance Troupe and the Human Puppet Troupe from Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, who presented “Rabam Si Phak” (Dance of the Four Regions). The traditional attire, intricate choreography, and evocative music transported the audience into the sights and sounds of Thailand. Each dance symbolised a blessing of wealth and abundance, sealed with a shower of flower petals over the crowd. A contemporary fashion showcase followed, demonstrating how Thai cultural influences continue to inspire modern garment design.
The energy soared later in the day as NANON and FLIO took to the stage, drawing some of the festival’s largest crowds and proving to be among its biggest highlights.
FLIO, a vocal trio under GMMTV, comprising Louis, Ford, and Fluke, set the tone of the mini T-Pop concert with back-to-back favourites, including “My Forever”, “No Worries”, and “Destiny”. With each song, the crowd’s enthusiasm grew, reaching a fever pitch during “Side to Side” as fans sang and screamed along to every lyric.
The trio also kept the atmosphere light-hearted with playful interactions throughout their set. One memorable moment came when Fluke approached the edge of the stage, requesting to share a portable fan with one of the audience members after admitting the heat made him sweat. Their natural chemistry and easy-going banter shone through between performances, drawing fans further into the experience and making the set feel as intimate as it was energetic.
NANON, a Thai actor-singer under GMMTV, best known for his roles in The Gifted and Bad Buddy, commanded the stage with his charismatic presence as he performed fan-favourites tracks including “Knock Knock”, “What’s Wrong”, and “Love Allergy”. From the moment he stepped on stage, energy from the floor flooded the space with fans singing and dancing along to every song.
NANON’s added an extra layer of charm to his stage interactions. One standout moment came when fans repeatedly called for Juub Meow. Feigning reluctance, he cheekily asked if they were upset. When the crowd played along and shouted “Yes!”, NANON immediately quipped that he was perfectly fine not doing it, sending the audience into laughter and clamouring for more.
Louis of FLIO and NANON gave fans one final surprise when they joined forces for a special performance of “Foreground”. Blending their distinct vocal colours, the collaboration offered a refreshing new take on the track and quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the mini concert. Their natural chemistry and stage charisma drew loud cheers from the crowd, capping off an evening packed with standout performances.
As the mini concert drew to a close, fans were reluctant to say goodbye. Cheers for an encore echoed through the venue as NANON and FLIO made their exit. While the performances may have ended, the enthusiasm lingered, with many already looking forward to their next return to Singapore—whether for a fan meeting, a new project or another surprise appearance.
Contemporary Fair
Beyond the performances, Thai Festival 2026 showcased the rich tapestry of contemporary Thai culture through a vibrant marketplace curated by the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore. More than 100 Thai brands, artisans and food vendors transformed the embassy grounds into a bustling hub of discovery, drawing steady crowds eager to experience the latest offerings from Thailand’s thriving creative and consumer industries.
Among the standout exhibitors was INGU, the Thai skincare brand that has built a loyal following across Southeast Asia through its science-backed approach to skincare and strong social media presence. The booth attracted significant interest throughout the weekend, with products selling out across all three days. In the culinary zone, visitors flocked to Plu Restaurant for its contemporary take on Thai cuisine, while Emily’s Mee Kai Cheek won over festivalgoers with its comforting bowls of shredded chicken noodles. From refined restaurant favourites to beloved everyday flavours, the food offerings showcased the diversity of Thailand’s culinary scene.
From fashion and beauty to lifestyle products and food, every corner of the festival offered something new to explore. Guests could be seen browsing stalls, sampling products and connecting with brands, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected Thailand’s growing influence across multiple industries.
More than just a cultural showcase, Thai Festival 2026 served as a snapshot of contemporary Thailand — a country where tradition, creativity and innovation continue to thrive side by side. For many visitors, it was a chance to experience a taste of Thailand without leaving Singapore; for others, it was a welcome opportunity to reconnect with the sights, sounds and flavours they have come to love.
Whether they arrived for NANON and FLIO, the food, or the diverse lineup of Thai brands, visitors left with plenty to remember. As the festival wrapped up another successful edition, anticipation is already building for what Thai Festival in Singapore will bring next year.
