For many fans in attendance, 2026 Yang Yoseop Solo Concert <FADE IN> in Singapore had been a long time coming.
Taking to the stage at The Theatre at Mediacorp, the HIGHLIGHT vocalist greeted Singapore fans with his first-ever solo concert here, opening an evening that felt less like a showcase and more like a conversation between old friends.

Throughout the night, Yoseop carefully guided fans through the story he wanted to tell with <FADE IN>. The concert unfolded almost like a musical, with Yoseop and the audience at the centre of it. Through each song and ment segment, he explored different emotions that come with love, longing and waiting, while frequently stopping to explain the stories behind the music he had written.
What stood out most was how much thought Yoseop put into communicating with fans beyond simply performing the songs. Many of the tracks carried personal messages, and he took time to share what inspired them and what they meant to him today.

One particularly memorable segment saw Yoseop appear with a custom telephone microphone as he sang to “Bibi”, creating a playful yet unexpectedly touching moment. Fully immersed in the performance, he later turned to fans and asked if they were feeling less upset now, drawing laughter from the audience.
Even during costume changes, Yoseop found ways to stay connected with the crowd. Rather than disappearing backstage completely, he encouraged fans to continue singing along with him, turning what could have been a brief break into another shared moment between artist and audience.
Among the songs that resonated deeply was “Lavender”. Introducing the track, Yoseop explained that lavender symbolises waiting. The meaning, he shared, reminded him of his relationship with fans.
“It reminds me that you’ll have to wait for me and the HIGHLIGHT members,” he said.
With a smile, he expressed his hope that the next time he returns to Singapore, it will be together with his fellow members. He was quick to add that fans should continue supporting the other members and their individual activities as well, jokingly assuring everyone that he would not be jealous.
The evening was filled with these small but sincere moments. Whether he was reflecting on his songwriting process, sharing stories behind his music or simply having a conversation with the audience, Yoseop came across as thoughtful and deeply appreciative of the fans who had supported him throughout the years.
As the concert drew to a close, he left fans with one final message. If they ever felt exhausted or tired, he hoped they would think of him and draw strength from the memories they shared together.
It was a fitting sentiment for a concert built around connection.
Closing the night with the words, “This is your forever leading man, Yang Yoseop,” the singer bid farewell to Singapore fans — hopefully not for too long.
If <FADE IN> was about waiting, then Yoseop made one thing clear: he hopes the next reunion will be with all members of HIGHLIGHT by his side.
Big thank you to Sliding Doors Entertainment for the invitation!
